As our name implies, we are with many.
Our aim is to continue to grow and expand our network of talented artists and practitioners. Also, to work with many more people from all different backgrounds in our society.
However, at the heart of our theatre company stands:
Annemiek van Elst
Annemiek is a theatre director and facilitator whose work handles and examines social/political issues in todays society. In The Netherlands she won the Prins Bernard Young Directors award for her Bob Dylan inspired production R.A. Zimmerman Against The Establishment, which provided her with the opportunity to finish her Masters at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Besides being artistic director for And Many Others, Annemiek continues to work as an associate director at Lyric Hammersmith and assistant director at English National Opera. She facilitates workshops for Cardboard Citizens, Outside Edge Theatre and Good Chance Calais. Her interest in documentary and film has led her to work on several productions including the award winning Exile Incessant and collaborations with Ghetto Films School in New York and LA.
As a writer and theatre-maker, Claudia is interested in exploring issues of social justice and how to bring them to the stage and screen in ways that inspire the audience to act. Previous work includes A Real Tragedy, produced as part of Newsboy ( Tron Theatre, Glasgow); Beaten (Royal Central School of Speech and Drama); Work to Live / Live to Work, developed on the Emerging Artis Programme: Art as Activism (Battersea Arts Centre); What a Waste, produced as part of Little Pieces of Gold (Southwark Playhouse); Legal / Illegal, developed on an R&D residency with Specifiq (Wilton’s Music Hall).
